Who/What is theJ.A.S.P.E.R.?
David and Kimberly (a.k.a. "The Cosplay Couple") are passionate anime collectors, as well as avid cosplayers.  David has been collecting anime and manga since the early eighties, and designing & fabricating costumes since 1988.  As a "Costume Artist," he designs and fabricates all the costumes for Kimberly, his wife, and himself.  She has also been collecting anime and manga for many years.  Their personal collections of anime have become known as theJ.A.S.P.E.R. (The Japanese Animation Super Premiere Entertainment Review).  David has been working on customizing 1/6-scale action figures inspired by the movie Starship Troopers.  Here are some really small costumes for "Roughneck Joe©".

Over the years, they have won numerous costume and presentation awards.  David and Kimberly's cosplay presentations have appeared on television, local cable and their work reviewed in magazines with photos, in foreign and domestic publications.  Please visit http://www.costumemaker.com/resume.html for a chronology of events.  David and Kimberly have also hosted panels on cosplay at anime & Sci-fi conventions, judged at Masquerade competitions, and presented their own Hall Costume Awards.

Scorpii Lord and Lady at Comic-Con International 2001.

Serving the cosplay community since March 1999, David and Kimberly launched their own business, providing high-quality, up-scale costumes to fans throughout the United States and abroad.  They encourage others to get involved in cosplay and strive to be a positive influence in the community.  Recently, they've turned their attention to reviewing cosplay related goods, such as books, magazines, videos and trading cards.
